Mayhew Seavey is a 68-year-old electrical engineering consultant in the metro Boston area. Together with his wife, retired publications editor Victoria Thatcher, he cofounded the Hager Homestead cohousing community in 2016 as a way for them to have the kind of supportive community that they wanted for themselves as they grew older.
